“The event is invitation-only for friends and supporters of the Trump-Pence campaign,” the campaign said in a statement.
Donald Trump finally decided to go low-key with his campaign, and he literally waited until the very last night. The Republican presidential candidate announced an invite-only party on Election Night at the New York Hilton Midtown.
The party will kickoff at 6:30 p.m., though don’t expect Trump to show until hours later. It was unclear exactly how many people would be invited to the Hilton, which is three blocks south of Trump Tower.
It’s in stark contrast to the often-contentious, always-headline-grabbing rallies Trump has held across the country for the last six months. Trump has said throughout the campaign about the thousands of attendees who’ve shown up to his rallies against the paltry hundreds who see Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.
Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 8, by the way. If you didn’t know that, you probably don’t care about attending either event anyway.
